Claire Gilmore

Social worker by day, asleep by night: Claire grew up in a piano teacher’s home where all children born with hands were required to learn to play music. She’s no stranger to a marching band, pit orchestra, or jazz ensemble, but spent the majority of her musical life touring with drum and bugle corps, first as a trumpet player for the Hawthorne Caballeros, then a member of the Boston Crusaders mellophone line. Claire served as a disc jockey and station manager for her college's radio station, delivering all things jazz, funk, soul, and blues. She enjoys hiking, camping, and other such peregrination with her blithesome husband, delightful stepdaughter, and sprightly German Shepherd. Her adventures are fueled by black coffee, bourbon, and the sustaining peace of a rainy day.
